About the Role

Legal Associate – Taxation Law

Direct and Indirect Taxation laws

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting and Reviewing Legal Documents:

• Prepare replies to notices, written submissions, appeals, and other legal documents related to Income Tax, GST, and related matters.

• Taxation Law Advisory:

• Assist in providing legal interpretation, analysis, and opinions on issues arising under Direct and Indirect Tax laws.

• Litigation & Representation Support:

• Draft responses for assessment, audit, and appellate proceedings; coordinate with tax authorities and external counsels for representation.

• Legal Research & Compliance Updates:

• Conduct thorough research on case laws, circulars, and notifications; keep the team updated on amendments and judicial pronouncements impacting clients.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Direct Tax and GST teams to ensure legal accuracy and consistency in compliance and advisory work.

• Documentation & Case Management:

• Maintain organized case files, correspondence, and supporting documentation for ongoing and closed matters.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.); specialization or strong focus in

  Taxation Law

  preferred.
• Minimum

  1 year of relevant experience

  , preferably in a

  CA firm or legal consultancy

  dealing with taxation matters.
• Sound understanding of

  Income Tax, GST, and allied fiscal laws

  .
• Excellent

  drafting, legal research, and communication skills

  .
• Updated knowledge of

  recent amendments, circulars, and judgments

  under tax laws.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a collaborative professional environment.
