Job Description

As a Media Planner at Story Digital, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing media strategies that drive brand awareness and achieve campaign objectives for our diverse portfolio of clients. Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive media plans: Collaborate with the strategy and account management teams to understand client objectives, target audience, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Create data-driven media plans that effectively reach the target audience, maximize campaign impact, and align with the client's budget. - Conduct audience research: Utilize various research tools and platforms to identify target audience characteristics, preferences, and media consumption habits. Analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitive insights to inform media strategies and optimization recommendations. - Media channel selection: Identify the most relevant and effective media channels for each campaign, considering factors such as reach, frequency, cost efficiency, and target audience behavior. Channels may include digital (Google, Youtube, Display, Meta, Snapchat, Search), OTT (Hotstar, Jio, Sony, etc.), Programmatic Advertising, Native Apps Advertising (From Cricbuzz to Tinder to Spotify, etc.) - Campaign optimization and performance tracking: Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven recommendations to optimize media plans. Continuously track KPIs, conduct A/B tests, and leverage analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of media strategies and adjust plans accordingly. - Collaborate with creative and content teams: Work closely with the creative and content teams to align media plans with creative assets and messaging. Ensure that media placements effectively communicate the brand's message and adhere to brand guidelines. - Vendor management: Establish and maintain relationships with media vendors, negotiate rates and contracts, and stay informed about industry updates and new advertising opportunities. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging media platforms, and technological advancements to recommend innovative media strategies. - Reporting and insights: Prepare regular reports and present findings to clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting campaign performance, key learnings, and recommendations for future media plans. Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on data analysis. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of work experience in media planning, preferably in a digital agency or media organization. - Proficiency in media planning and research tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, social media analytics platforms, and syndicated research databases. - Solid understanding of digital advertising platforms, traditional media channels, and emerging media trends. - Familiarity with media buying principles, negotiation strategies, and industry regulations. - Knowledge of performance marketing and experience with performance tracking and optimization is a plus.,
