Roles & Responsibilities

Procure to Pay

• Responsible for Price negotiation and managing relationships with suppliers on a regular basis.
• Ensuring seamless execution of the entire procure to pay cycle for vendors.

Cost Optimization

• To procure material at most competitive prices and help keep Berger cost Competitive in the market, using various Purchase levers.
• Interacting with Vendors/industry experts/Consultants to derive industry insights.

Quality

• Handle the escalations by Plant Materials team in case of Rejection/Acceptance under Deviation.
• Ensure Suppliers are in compliance with Berger Quality Standards.

Risk Mitigation

• Ensure Continuity of Material Supply by Mapping existing supplier base and identify the need for new vendors.
• Identify potential suppliers and evaluate them on technical, financial & Quality standards. Make sure SOP for new vendor qualification is followed.

Payment & Delivery

• Ensure Payment credit period and delivery Terms are in Line with Berger Policies.

SOB Compliance

• Work with Plant materials team to ensure Call-up and Material Receipt is in line with allocated Share of Business

Price Indexing

• Track Feedstock Price and establish correlation with historical price trend of given Category.

Artwork Management

• Handle Artwork Management activities for respective categories. Ensure zero residual stock of old artwork is left with Vendor after Artwork change.

Process Improvement

• Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders (Marketing/R&D/Quality/Planning / IT / Accounts) to drive improvement projects.
• Create and implement best practice purchasing strategy which ensures Cost, Delivery and Quality Requirements are fulfilled

Supplier Performance

• Track the supplier performance on Monthly basis. Use these insights at the time of price negotiation and SOB allocation.
• Ensure Suppliers are filling ASN(Advance Shipment Notification) on time.

Qualification Requirement

• Preferably a Graduate from I

  ndian Institute of Packaging

• Minimum 2 years of Packaging Procurement experience in one of following industries:

  Paints, Chemical, FMCG or Pharmaceutical.
