Key Responsibilities:

Price Negotiation & Quotation:

• Negotiate competitive rates with ocean carriers, shipping lines, and service providers.
• Prepare and submit quotations for Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments.
• Maintain a database of rates, contracts, and agreements with various service providers.
• Ensure all pricing is accurate, competitive, and aligned with market trends and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop tailored pricing strategies for key clients and specific trade lanes.

• Ocean Export & Freight Forwarding:

• Oversee ocean export operations, ensuring that all shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with international regulations.
• Provide guidance to the operations team regarding shipment bookings, documentation, and routing solutions.
• Stay updated on ocean freight market trends, including new trade routes, capacity fluctuations, and port conditions.

• FCL/LCL Management:

• Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for FCL and LCL services.
• Manage relationships with service providers to secure space, equipment, and services for ocean shipments.
• Analyze FCL/LCL shipping volumes, costs, and margins to optimize profitability.

• Sales & Customer Support:

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop competitive proposals.
• Act as a liaison between sales and operations to ensure smooth pricing and service delivery.
• Work closely with customers to address pricing inquiries, resolve disputes, and provide timely updates on shipping quotes.

• Market Analysis & Strategy:

• Conduct market research to track industry trends, freight rates, competitor pricing, and customer needs.
• Develop pricing models and strategies that balance profitability with customer satisfaction.
• Monitor the performance of pricing strategies and make adjustments as needed to stay competitive.

• Internal Collaboration & Reporting:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, operations, finance, and logistics.
• Provide regular reports on pricing performance, margin analysis, and market trends to senior management.
• Maintain internal pricing systems, ensuring data is up to date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ocean export, freight forwarding, pricing, and negotiation (FCL/LCL).
• Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
• Proven track record in negotiating competitive rates with ocean carriers and service providers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
• Proficiency in using pricing tools, freight software, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

• Experience working with major shipping lines and freight forwarders.
• Knowledge of trade lanes, customs procedures, and international markets.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
