Organic Product Verification Professional - HVO (WFO) Location: Hyderabad (T-Hub) An Organic Product Verification Professional is responsible for ensuring that agricultural and food products comply with organic standards and certifications set by the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) and the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS-India) . This role involves conducting audits, inspections, and assessments to verify that products meet national and international organic regulations, thereby maintaining the integrity of organic labeling and supporting sustainable agricultural practices. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of farms, processing units, and supply chains to ensure compliance with organic standards. Review documentation and records related to organic production, including input usage, processing methods, and traceability. Assess compliance with national and international organic certification standards such as NPOP (India), USDA NOP (USA), EU Organic Regulation, and others. Provide detailed reports on findings and recommend corrective actions where necessary. Stay updated on changes in organic certification standards and regulations. Educate and guide producers and processors on best practices for maintaining organic certification. Qualifications and Certifications Educational Background : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Environmental Science, or related fields. Certifications : Training in organic standards such as NPOP, USDA NOP, or EU Organic Regulation. Certification from recognized bodies like ECOCERT, INDOCERT, or Bureau Veritas. Experience : Prior experience in organic certification processes, auditing, or quality assurance is preferred. Skills : Strong understanding of organic farming practices and standards. Excellent analytical and report-writing skills. Attention to detail and ability to work independently. This role is pivotal in maintaining the trust and reliability of organic products in the Global market, ensuring that consumers receive products that truly meet organic standards.
