This is a technical role responsible for managing complex database environments including Oracle and PostgreSQL databases. The role includes planning, implementation, performance tuning, and maintenance of enterprise relational database platforms with a focus on reliability, security, and automation. Provide database administration support for development, test and production environments including installation, upgrades, performance optimization and decommissions as well as managing requests and incidents for Oracle databases Administer security access controls following standard operating procedures Recover databases in case of disaster recovery support Follow, review and recommend updates of support documentation as needed Recommend automation opportunities for operational work and process improvements Collaborating with technical leads on database design decisions to ensure applications have high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability and reliability Investigate and resolve technical database issues.
