Role: Oracle Data Architect – Oil & Gas Data Hub
Exp : 12+ yrs
Location : Chennai - Remote
We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Data Architect to design, implement, and manage a large-scale Enterprise Data Hub for a major oil & gas refinery. The architect will be responsible for end-to-end data architecture, integration, governance, security, and analytics enablement across refining, maintenance, engineering, and environmental domains.
• Define the architectural blueprint for the refinery’s Oracle-based Data Hub.
• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for refining operations.
• Integrate SCADA, PI System, SAP, LIMS, maintenance, and environmental systems.
• Lead ingestion and integration pipelines using ODI, OIC, GoldenGate, and ADW.
• Implement data quality, governance, lineage, cataloging, and master data.
• Ensure refinery-grade security, encryption, and compliance (SOX, ISO 27001).
• Optimize performance for time-series, batch, and analytical workloads.
• Enable BI, reporting, and ML use cases through curated data services.
• Collaborate with refinery engineers, OT teams, and IT architects.
• Oversee implementation, development lifecycle, and operations of the data hub.
• 10+ years in data architecture with at least 5 years in Oracle technologies.
• Expertise in Oracle DB, ODI, OIC, GoldenGate, ADB/ADW, and data lakehouse design.
• Experience with refinery or oil & gas operational systems and data models.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA/OT, PI System, SAP PM/MM, and time‑series data.
• Experience with data governance, MDM, metadata, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with OCI, Azure, or AWS.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance and digital transformation.
• Certifications in Oracle cloud or data engineering.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
• Leadership skills for guiding data engineering teams.
