About The Opportunity

A leading player in the Enterprise Applications & Infrastructure sector, this role sits within organisations running large-scale Oracle application landscapes and mission-critical ERP systems. We seek an experienced Oracle Apps DBA to operate on-site in India, managing Oracle E-Business Suite and core Oracle database infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance for global business users.

Primary Title:

Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Database Administrator (Oracle Apps DBA)Role & Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day administration of Oracle E-Business Suite databases and application tiers on Linux—patching, cloning, upgrades, and capacity planning.
Design and execute backup & recovery strategies using RMAN; perform regular restores and validate disaster recovery procedures with Data Guard.
Implement and maintain high-availability solutions including Oracle RAC, ASM, and cluster management; troubleshoot failover scenarios.
Diagnose and tune SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance issues; collaborate with application teams to optimize queries and indexes.
Automate routine tasks using shell scripting and orchestration tools; maintain monitoring, alerting, and runbooks via OEM or equivalent tools.
Lead EBS-specific operations: patching (ADOP/OPatch), rapid cloning, concurrent manager troubleshooting, and applying critical security patches.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

Proven experience administering Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments on Linux
Strong expertise with Oracle Database 12c/19c—installation, configuration, and upgrades
Hands-on experience with RMAN, Data Guard, Oracle RAC, and ASM
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning methodologies
Experience with backup/recovery validation, disaster recovery drills, and high-availability planning
Operational knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and automation via shell scripting

Preferred

Familiarity with Oracle GoldenGate or other replication technologies
Experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and monitoring toolchains
Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) migrations or hybrid-cloud architectures
