Job Description

The Team: The mission of the In-Business Control team is to manage and monitor risk across the organization and support the S&P Global Energy strategy efficiently and transparently through high quality in business risk and control capabilities. Its vision is to have a connected organization that is highly respected for operational excellence through risk management in support of business decision making and strategic execution at S&P Global Energy.

Responsibilities and Impact: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Operations/In Business Control team. In this role, you will support first-line risk activities for Platts business line of S&P Global Energy, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. You will contribute to the enhancement of risk management processes and support the overall operational effectiveness of the organization.

  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on operational risks and compliance activities within the Platts business unit.
  • Support the implementation of risk management frameworks and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data related to risk assessments and operational performance.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of risk documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives to enhance your understanding of risk management practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the team in conducting regular reviews and audits of risk management processes and controls.

What we are looking for:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable working in EMEA Shift.
