Job Summary

An experienced and detail-oriented professional is sought to manage and optimize mutual fund operations. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end transaction processing, reconciliations, brokerage management, stakeholder coordination, and compliance. The role also involves identifying opportunities for process automation and driving operational improvements across functions.

Key Responsibilities

Mutual Fund Operations & Transaction Management

• Oversee daily processing of mutual fund transactions.
• Perform reconciliation of Order Book, AUM, Payment Gateway, and brokerage income.
• Ensure accurate calculation and booking of upfront and trail brokerage.
• Coordinate with AMCs and RTAs to resolve any transaction or data discrepancies.
• Manage commission and payout processing for sub-brokers and distributors across India.

Reconciliation & Brokerage Handling

• Conduct regular reconciliation across investment data sources and financial records.
• Maintain accurate brokerage booking and tracking systems.
• Liaise with fund houses and service providers to ensure timely data updates and resolution of mismatches.
• Monitor income streams and handle all aspects of brokerage payouts.

Process Optimization & Automation

• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in operational processes.
• Collaborate with product and tech teams to automate workflows and reduce manual dependencies.
• Participate in system enhancement projects, including UAT and implementation planning.
• Drive initiatives aimed at improving turnaround time, accuracy, and scalability.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

• Ensure strict adherence to SEBI, AMFI, and stock exchange norms related to mutual fund operations.
• Oversee compliance activities including KYC, FATCA, scheme onboarding, and documentation control.
• Maintain comprehensive audit trails and prepare for internal/external audits.

Stakeholder Coordination & Escalation Handling

• Act as a point of contact for queries from AMCs, RTAs, internal departments, and external distributors.
• Resolve escalations around transaction failures, delays in payouts, or data mismatches.
• Work closely with internal teams to facilitate seamless integration of new business processes or tools.

MIS & Analytics Reporting

• Generate regular MIS reports on key metrics like transactions, brokerage accruals, AUM, and revenue performance.
• Provide actionable data insights to assist senior management in decision-making.
• Support the finance and product teams with periodic revenue analysis and investment tracking.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Proven experience in Mutual Fund Operations with familiarity in BSE Star MF, NSE NMF, CAMS, and KFintech platforms.
• Strong understanding of financial reconciliation practices (AUM, Order Book, Brokerage, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance under SEBI and AMFI guidelines.
• Excellent MS Excel and MIS reporting skills; comfort working with large datasets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
• Proactive mindset with a drive to innovate and improve processes through automation and technology
