Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive
OpenShift DevOps Engineer
to manage and scale enterprise-grade OpenShift platforms. This role includes responsibility for CI/CD automation, persistent storage provisioning (PV/PVC), cluster networking, and infrastructure reliability. You will collaborate closely with development, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth delivery and secure, scalable deployment of cloud-native workloads.
Roles and Responsibilities:
OpenShift Platform & Operations
- Deploy, manage, and operate Red Hat OpenShift clusters in on-prem, hybrid, or public cloud environments.
- Manage OpenShift core resources such as Projects, Deployments, Services, Routes, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Operators.
- Administer Persistent Volumes (PV) and Persistent Volume Claims (PVC) using CephFS, RBD, NFS, and cloud-native storage solutions.
CI/CD & GitOps
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift Pipelines (Tekton), Jenkins, or GitOps tools like Argo CD.
Storage & Stateful Workloads
- Design and troubleshoot persistent storage provisioning using StorageClasses, AccessModes (RWO, RWX).
- Support and optimize StatefulSets, database deployments, and file storage systems on OpenShift.
Networking
- Manage Ingress Controllers, Routes, Services, and NetworkPolicies for secure traffic flow.
- Integrate and manage external load balancers, DNS, TLS/SSL certificates, and wildcard domains.
- Implement and troubleshoot Service Mesh (Istio/OSM) and API Gateways (e.g., 3scale) where applicable.
Monitoring, Logging & Security
- Implement observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Alert manager. Set up centralized logging via Loki.
- Apply RBAC, pod security policies, image scanning, and network security policies (NSPs).
Must Have Skills:
- 5-8 years of experience in deploy, manage, and operate Red Hat OpenShift clusters in on-prem, hybrid, or public cloud environments.
- Administer Persistent Volumes (PV) and Persistent Volume Claims (PVC) using CephFS, RBD, NFS, and cloud-native storage solutions.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift Pipelines (Tekton), Jenkins, or Git Ops tools like Argo CD.
- Design and troubleshoot persistent storage provisioning using Storage Classes, Access Modes (RWO, RWX).
- Manage Ingress Controllers, Routes, Services, and Network Policies for secure traffic flow.
- Implement and troubleshoot Service Mesh (Istio/OSM) and API Gateways (e.g., 3scale) where applicable.
- Implement observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Alert manager. Set up centralized logging via Loki.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies

- Red Hat OpenShift , ODF Ceph storage , Loki stack, Container ,Docker, CI/CD pipelines ,Ansible, Linux administration ,Git, Prometheus/Grafana, sdn, OVN kubernets ,Networking, Shell scripting.
Qualification:
- BE/B. Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
