Duties & Responsibilities

• Owning Production for a multi-category plant in equivalent capacity as a Plant Head - across 2 shifts of operations at Bhandup, Mumbai.
• Managing a team of 6-8 reportees including Production Managers (2), Production supervisors (4-6) and dotted reporting from other department Supervisors.
• End-to-end production process ownership and systems ownership at Plant - owning the KPIs for productivity and production yield/losses.
• Responsible for deployment of 5S & FIFO processes to ensure material handling as per best quality systems and processes.
• Engineering/automation solutions for increasing productivity and production capacity of the lines.
• Responsible for military discipline within the team of 100+ Contract labor across 2 shifts
• Also responsible for process optimization at CM sites - soft touch on Productivity and Conversion cost KPIs there.
• Coordination with Supply Chain team for ensuring smooth production and inventory visibility.
• Coordination with Procurement team to ensure smooth material availability at all times.
• Ensure all products are manufactured to meet Open Secret's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead initiatives to adopt new technologies or methods that can improve efficiency or product quality.
• Support the growth plans of company through effective capacity planning.
• Identify the right contract manufacturers for new product launches
  

Job Knowledge, Skills Abilities

• 10+ years of experience in FMCG/ Food Manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity management, and contract manufacturing.
• Knowledge of automation and process optimization is a plus.
• Job Location - Bhandup
