O&M Site Incharge

We are seeking a seasoned and result-oriented O&M Site In-Charge/Plant Head to assume full operational and maintenance responsibility for our 70 MW Utility-Scale Solar Power Plant located in Bidar, Karnataka.
The successful candidate will be the technical and administrative leader on site, driving performance, safety, and operational excellence.Location: Bidar, Karnataka.Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentExperience: Minimum 6+ years in utility-scale solar O&M, with at least 3 years in a managerial or site lead capacity for projects ≥50 MW.Key Responsibilities & Deliverables (KPI Focused)• Plant Performance & Generation: Achieve and consistently exceed the contractual Performance Ratio (PR) and Availability guarantees. Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize energy generation using SCADA• Maintenance Management: Develop and strictly implement comprehensive Preventive, Predictive, and Corrective Maintenance (PM/CM) schedules for all plant equipment, including PV Modules, Inverters, Transformers, HT/LT Panels, and the Switchyard.• Troubleshooting & RCA: Lead the technical team in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for all major faults, breakdowns, and recurring performance issues to implement permanent corrective actions and minimize MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).• Team Management: Supervise, train, and manage the site O&M team (engineers and technicians) . Ensure all work is executed to the highest quality and safety standards.• Safety & Compliance (HSE): Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory, regulatory, environmental, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines. Maintain all mandatory site licenses and permits.• Inventory & Budget: Manage the site O&M budget, control operating costs, and maintain a strategic inventory of critical spare parts to ensure zero delay in maintenance and repairs.• Stakeholder Liaison: Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports (MIS). Coordinate with the Grid Operator, PPA off-taker, and local authorities for grid compliance and smooth power export.________________________________________Qualifications and Skills • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering is essential. A background in Power Systems or Renewable Energy is a plus.• Technical Expertise:o In-depth knowledge of solar PV plant operation, including string/central inverters, MV/HV switchgear, and protective relays.o Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, SLDs, and control logic.o Strong familiarity with SCADA/Monitoring Systems for fault diagnosis and performance analytics.• Leadership & Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
