About the Role:

As an Odoo developer, the person is a skilled professional for designing, implementing, and maintaining Odoo applications. The application development includes Odoo migration, connector development, report development and frontend development. The developer is responsible for applying Odoo development best practices.

Experience Level: 2-4 years.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution:

• Implement and customize Odoo modules based on client requirements.

• Develop or extend modules using tools and technologies adopted by Odoo framework like Python, XML, XML-RPC, HTML, CSS, Javascript, OWL framework.

• Follow pluggable and configurable module development approach.

• Migrate Odoo database from lower to upper version, and from on premise to Odoo SH (or vice versa).

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems and assist other team members in doing so.

• Work efficiently to meet project deadlines and milestones. Communicate proactively in case of any potential delays.

• Follow coding standards, best practices, and code optimization practices.

• Validate project code against CICD tools whichever is adopted in the project.

• Estimate the user stories assigned for the development and deliver the task in the stipulated time.

• Participate in peer reviews to ensure code quality.

• Update code repositories up to date with daily code changes using version control system (like Git, SVN) adopted by the project.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Odoo developments and trends.

2. Communication:

• Ability to communicate fluently in English language.

• Write emails professionally to record all discussions with the client.

• Prepare technical documents for the project when such need arises.

• Demonstrate the Odoo functional flow to the prospect clients.

• Communicates with the client to understands the requirement or to demo the features.

3. Continuous Learning:

• Stay up to date of new technologies and assess their applicability to projects.

• Attend Odoo conferences like roadshow or Odoo experience, webinars, and training sessions.

4. Mentoring:

• Help in technical issues, mentor junior developers, and assist them in their professional development.
