Mission The Product Engineer will support pricing strategies and operational marketing tasks within the Optical Interconnect Solutions (OIS) marketing team. This role focuses on analyzing pricing requests, managing product obsolescence, supporting product continuity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve financial and operational efficiency. Profile Key Responsibilities Pricing Support & Communication: Review pricing requests from global sales teams, prepare accurate quotes using the right tools and sound judgment, and respond promptly to help with decision-making. Escalation & Standardization: Identify missing or unclear information in requests, escalate special cases to Product Managers, and help include approved prices in the standard pricing system. Impact & Product Data Analysis: Monitor the effects of pricing changes on sales performance, revenue, and profit margins, and perform basic technical analysis using product-related data such as sales history, cost structure, and customer usage. Obsolescence & Modification Management: Track and manage obsolete components impacting product lines, oversee necessary modifications, and ensure product functionality and continuity. Process & Alert Handling: Develop and maintain standardized procedures for obsolescence management and ensure timely action on obsolescence alerts to minimize disruption. Key Competencies Good understanding of fiber optics fundamentals and Optical Interconnect Solutions (OIS) technology. Ability to handle complex harness pricing requests and deliver accurate results efficiently. Effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support to the sales team on pricing queries.
