Job Description

As a Nurse Supervisor, your role involves overseeing the nursing operations and ensuring that patient care requirements are met effectively. Here are the key responsibilities you will be handling: - Schedule nurses shifts and assign nurses to patients while maintaining the Nurse: Patient ratio based on the unit's scope and patient conditions. - Maintain quality assurance of nursing documentation and patient records, including cross-verifying and signing nurses" notes and assessments during rounds. - Implement Mentor/Mentee system for patient allocation by team leaders/Charge Nurses. - Ensure proper ISBAR record/Endorsement toolkit is followed during each handover. - Monitor safe inter-departmental patient transfers and identify vulnerable patients for proper assessment and reassessment at intervals. - Screen patients requiring pain management at admission and ensure timely reassessment. - Verify all patient-required indents for drugs and medical consumables are done securely. - Cross-check medication storage according to manufacturers" recommendations and maintain the Crash cart with a uniform checklist. - Route incident reports to the Quality department for analysis and follow-up. - Supervise adherence to standard precautions, hand hygiene, safe linen management, cleaning practices, and biomedical waste disposal by nursing personnel. - Implement isolation practices and hazardous material handling protocols. - Educate and train new nurses, evaluate performance, and support the Nursing Superintendent/Deputy Nursing Superintendent. - Communicate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to implement patient care. - Monitor Quality Indicators and provide relevant information to committees. - Establish compassionate relationships with patients, families, and friends by providing emotional and psychological support. - Maintain patient confidentiality and audit patient and department records. - Ensure service entries are accurately recorded against patients. - Maintain and operate medical/administrative equipment, including emergency equipment, following protocols and conducting preventive maintenance. - Provide clinical expertise in managing medical emergencies and identify patient service requirements through personal interactions. - Manage nursing supplies inventory and stay updated with professional knowledge through educational workshops. - Resolve patients" needs through multidisciplinary team strategies. The company requires you to work full-time on a rotational shift basis at the designated in-person work location.,
