You will be responsible for the implementation of the Hospital Infection Control (IC) program. Your key responsibilities will include: - Conducting IC surveillance activities in various areas such as Operation Theatres, Intensive Care Units, nursing areas, OPD, CSSD, Blood storage, Bio medical waste storage, Pharmacy, and Lab as per schedule. - Compiling and analyzing hospital infection data daily, escalating outliers, and following up for compliance. - Monitoring the use of disinfectants periodically. - Implementing NABH & NE standards and ensuring compliance. - Monitoring patient safety on hospital-acquired infections and medication safety on surgical prophylaxis. - Conducting regular training on IC protocols for all health professionals. - Ensuring all employee vaccinations against infectious diseases are up to date. - Conducting monthly audits to ensure IC compliance in the hospital. - Coordinating and monitoring results of culture water, air, swab; ensuring timely action on positive reports. - Supervising timely Hepa-filter validation. - Overseeing the practice of Hand hygiene, bio medical waste management & HAI care bundles. - Visiting bio medical waste agency and external laundry once every 6 months. - Undertaking any other work assigned by the Head of the Department. - Monitoring and tracking patients with intravascular catheters, urinary catheters, surgical wounds, and ET tubes. - Coordinating with central sterile supply department and monitoring all departmental functions of the CSSD technician.
