Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Business Growth

  • Achieve sales volume and revenue targets as decided for the territory for NPDs (New Product Development).
  • Work with Cluster Heads and Region Head to decide on trade schemes in line with allocated budget of A&D (Advertisement & Distribution).
  • Drive closure of monthly sales volume and schemes through cluster sales teams based on market trends, and stock assessments

Sales Planning & Inventory Management

  • Implement accurate sales forecasting, and quota planning at a customer level basis RTM (Route to Market) considering organizational ambition and market demand generation initiatives.
  • Support TSM (Territory Sales Manager) with optimal stock availability at mapped depots/ distributor points.
  • Liaise with demand planning and supply chain to understand and address any supply constraints/ issues.


Channel and Distributor Management

  • Work with ZSDMs (Zonal Sales Development Manager) to decide on distribution KPIs across the territory.
  • Co-create with ZSDM’s incentives for frontline 3P workforce to drive NPD’s.
  • Strengthen the relationship with channel partners (Retail and Wholesale).
  • Ensuring timely delivery of orders placed to avoid stock-out situation at retail.
  • Conduct shop audits to assess stock movement, brand availability, and consumption patterns.


Retail Engagement

  • Ensure optimal product placement and visibility of NPD portfolio (both organic and hired).
  • Ensure Channel Play/Hawk eye scores and execution is delivered as per the norm on monthly basis.
  • Plan and execute spot sale promotions for the NPD portfolio.


Market Intelligence & Performance Monitoring

  • Regularly conduct retail outlet audits to study market share movements and track market share.
  • Prepare and present weekly reports on sales performance, key issues, and consumer insights, and engage in meaningful collaboration with cluster heads to drive NPD agenda.
  • Use customer feedback and market data to re-strategize selling and promotional initiatives.


Brand Building and Demand Generation

  • Work with RMM (Regional Marketing Manager) to ensure development of relevant promotional campaigns for the NPD portfolio.
  • Work with TAM (Territory Execution Manager) in respective geographies to execute these promotions.
  • Own and manage 3P demand- generation force for the region.
  • Work with ZSDM to deploy promoters across relevant Point of Sale, Define KPI’s, Impact training, monitor their work, track efficiency and improve effectiveness.
  • Review efficiency and efficacy of expenditure undertaken for promotion and capturing market share.
  • Strategize and build effective ‘3rd Space’ engagement for NPD demand generation.


Regulatory & Compliance

  • Work with region head and corporate affairs team for timely brand registrations in the market.


Team Leadership

  • Lead and motivate SEs (Sales Executives) to drive sales of NPD portfolio.
  • Work closely with SEs to address performance gaps in underperforming districts/retailers.
  • Joint visit along with SEs to customers to ensure adequate support.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the internal teams and impart training on NPDs to 3P and other regional team members.


Qualification

MBA grad with around 6 yrs of experience.
