Overview
As an intern, you will provide critical support to the team in assisting the client and its project partners engaged in delivering a multi-stakeholder maternal healthcare project spread across states. This will allow you to gain meaningful exposure to public health strategy, stakeholder management, and the operational realities of driving large-scale social change. This is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a high-impact project and develop core consulting skills.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Project Management & Operational Support:
- Provide comprehensive support to the client’s Program Enablement Unit (PEU) towards meeting project deliverables
- Prepare clear meeting agendas, take detailed minutes, and diligently track action items to ensure project momentum.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings, workshops, and calls with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g. leading professional organisations, healthcare providers, etc.)
- Help maintain and organise project documentation, databases, and trackers.
- Strategic, Research and Analytical Contribution:
- Conduct secondary research on maternal health (and related topics), and analyse existing program data to inform project strategy
- Support the team in developing high-quality presentations, concept notes and strategic frameworks.
- Assist in synthesising research findings and data into concise summaries, insights and talking points.
- Actively participate in and contribute to team brainstorming and problem-solving sessions, offering fresh perspectives on complex challenges.
- Stakeholder Engagement Support:
- Assist in preparing materials for engagements with key stakeholders, including senior client leadership, experts and implementation partners.
- Support in drafting professional communications, official emails, and follow-ups to maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Who We're Looking For
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or other allied fields relevant to development, healthcare or management.
- Core Skills:
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Personal Qualities:
- A genuine passion for the social sector and a deep interest in public health or healthcare.
- Diligent, hardworking and open to feedback
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Maturity and professionalism to interact with senior stakeholders.
