Job Description

Node.js / NestJS Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, secure microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs using Node.js (preferably with NestJS or Express).
Implement event-driven architecture with Kafka or RabbitMQ for real-time communication between modules (e.g., e-commerce orders, CRM leads, call-center events).
Work closely with front-end teams (Next.js/React) to deliver well-structured APIs and seamless integrations.

Must-Have Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Node.js (ES6+) and TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with NestJS or Express.js.
RESTful/GraphQL API design and best practices.
SQL/NoSQL database design and optimization (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
Knowledge of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS) for event-driven systems.
Experience with Docker & Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
Solid understanding of security practices: JWT/OAuth2, rate limiting, input validation.

Nice-to-Have / Plus Skills

Experience with Next.js or front-end basics to support integration.
Knowledge of microservices patterns (CQRS, Saga, API Gateway).
Familiarity with payment gateways and third-party API integrations.
Cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Experience with WebRTC or VoIP (helpful for call-center modules).
Performance tuning & caching (Redis, Memcached).

Education & Experience

B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA or equivalent degree.
2–4 years of professional backend development experience (scale JD up/down for junior or senior roles).

Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
Ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborate across multiple product teams.
Good documentation and communication skills.
