Nodal Officer

Job Summary

The Nodal Officer will act as the primary liaison between the organization, DoT, TRAI, law enforcement agencies, and government bodies. The role ensures regulatory compliance, manages legal communication, and supports secure and efficient network operations within the Tamil Nadu circle.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the authorized point of contact for DoT, TRAI, and law enforcement agencies.
  
• Handle lawful interception requests, customer data verification, and data retention as per regulatory norms.
  
• Monitor network operations to ensure adherence to service quality, security, and compliance standards.
  
• Coordinate with technical, legal, and customer service teams to resolve regulatory queries.
  
• Prepare and submit mandatory reports, compliance certificates, and audit documents.
  
• Stay updated on telecom regulations, cyber laws, and licensing requirements.
  
• Ensure timely implementation of new directives issued by government and regulatory bodies.
  
• Support internal audits and employee training related to compliance and legal procedures.
  
• Coordinate with security agencies during cyber incidents or law enforcement investigations.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Telecommunications/Computer Science or related field (Masters preferred).
  
• Minimum 10 years of experience in ISP, telecom regulatory operations, network management, or legal compliance, preferably as a Nodal Officer.
  
• Comprehensive knowledge of DoT, TRAI, and IT Act guidelines.
  
• Strong communication skills in Tamil and English.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office and compliance management tools.
