Noc Monitoring Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Infrastructure monitoring and alert management from the available tool of alembic and managing escalation matrix.

• The Escalation Matrix will be shared by Alembic.

• A monitoring tool & Alert mechanism will be provided by Alembic.

• Identifying the alerts & escalating them to the concern team as per the escalation matrix provided by Alembic - If any manual intervention/expertise is required, then in that case service desk has to raise the ticket and assign it to the respective location team

• Acknowledgement of the alert

• Tracking and monitoring incidents/requests to the closure.

• The partner will do weekly review for the productivity and efficiency of the engineers so the data has to be ready for further analysis and discussion with Alembic team.

• Suggested basic changes in the setting or services on the server of any network device to get the alert resolved have to be made with the permission from the concerned

Monitor Windows and Linux servers using enterprise-monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, Solar Winds, etc.).

• Proactively identify and respond to service disruptions and performance issues.

• Track and report the health status of critical infrastructure components, including servers, storage, and network systems.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and service restarts for Apache, Tomcat, and Java applications.

• Execute health checks, log analysis, and event correlation to detect early signs of potential incidents.

• Escalate issues to respective L2/L3 teams based on severity and impact.

• Maintain and update monitoring configurations, alerting thresholds, and dashboards.

• Document incidents, solutions, and monitoring run books.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 monitoring support for business-critical systems.

• Assist in capacity planning and proactive improvements to system performance and resilience
