Key Responsibilities: Monitoring & Incident Response You will monitor infrastructure alerts using tools such as PRTG, Zabbix, and SolarWinds, identifying, logging, and triaging alerts to determine root cause and severity. It is essential to maintain clear and timely communication with internal teams throughout the incident lifecycle. Server & Virtualization Management Your role will involve monitoring and managing Windows/Linux servers hosted on VMware vSphere/ESXi, handling routine server tasks like snapshot management, VM creation, and basic performance tuning. Furthermore, you will monitor the virtual infrastructure for resource utilization and alert thresholds, coordinating with L2/L3 teams for deeper hypervisor-level or host-level troubleshooting. Cloud Operations (Azure) In the Microsoft Azure environment, you will support daily operational tasks such as VM status checks and alert responses, monitoring and responding to Azure resource health and performance issues, and assisting in provisioning or modifying virtual machines and services. A basic understanding of Azure Monitor, Advisor, and Service Health for alert and issue tracking is required. Required Skills & Experience: To excel in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in a NOC or System Administration role, a solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi environments, and exposure to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools like PRTG and Nagios is essential, along with comfort in working 24/7 shift operations and escalation models. Proficiency with ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow and Jira, will be beneficial. Preferred Qualifications: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, along with certifications like VMware VCA/VCP, Microsoft AZ-104, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or equivalent. Experience with backup and restore processes on virtualized infrastructure is also desirable. Soft Skills: In addition to technical expertise, strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills are crucial for this role. Clear communication and documentation habits, the ability to remain calm and methodical during critical incidents, and a team player mentality are highly valued. Proactiveness and self-driven motivation will contribute to success in this position.,
