Position: News Anchor – Political News Focus (Digital ) We are seeking a dynamic and versatile News Anchor with at least 2 years of professional experience covering political news. This is a hybrid role that goes beyond traditional anchoring—it combines on-camera presence, journalistic integrity, script writing, and digital content creation tailored for today’s multimedia landscape. The ideal candidate should be equally confident in front of the camera and behind the scenes—researching, writing, and producing impactful content across both broadcast and social media platforms. Key Responsibilities: Anchor live and recorded news with confidence, clarity, and authority—particularly focused on political developments, elections, and policy analysis. Research current political events, analyze key developments, and write compelling, concise scripts for both broadcast and digital formats. Collaborate with producers, reporters, and editors to plan and deliver high-quality daily news content. Create and distribute short-form news videos or reels optimized for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter). Publish engaging news content using digital publishing tools (e.g., Meta Creator Studio, YouTube Studio). Monitor political news trends and audience analytics to adapt content for better reach and impact. Interact professionally with viewers and followers in the comments section to build audience trust and engagement. Maintain alignment with the organization’s editorial tone, brand identity, and visual guidelines. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a News Anchor, Reporter, or Journalist with a focus on political news. Strong command of script writing, storytelling, and journalistic ethics. Excellent communication and on-camera presentation skills in Hindi, English, or a regional language. Proficiency in basic video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or mobile editing tools). Solid understanding of digital and social media publishing, including short-form video trends. Ability to work well under pressure, especially during breaking news situations. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field. Experience working in a digital-first newsroom or a combined TV/digital media environment. Familiarity with SEO principles, hashtag strategy, and video optimization for social platforms.
