News Anchor

We are seeking experienced, confident, and dynamic News Anchors to be part of our newly launched satellite news channel – India Daily Live. The ideal candidates must have strong on-screen presence, excellent command over language, and deep understanding of current affairs, politics, public interest stories, and breaking news.**

Key Responsibilities:

On-Air Presentation

• Anchor live news bulletins, prime-time shows, debates, and special programs.
• Present news clearly, confidently, and with strong articulation.
• Handle breaking-news situations with speed, accuracy, and composure.

Content & Research

• Collaborate with editorial teams to prepare scripts, story cues, headlines, and rundowns.
• Conduct in-depth research on current stories, key events, and trending topics.
• Interview guests, experts, politicians, and public personalities with professionalism.

Reporting & Live Coverage

• Participate in outdoor shoots, field reporting, ground coverage, and special assignments, when required.
• Coordinate with reporters and newsroom teams during live broadcasts.

Editorial Coordination

• Work closely with producers, video editors, and news directors to build compelling shows.
• Suggest story angles, innovative formats, and content improvements.

Audience Engagement

• Participate in promotional content, social media interactions, and channel campaigns.
• Maintain a consistent professional image across all digital platforms.

Skills & Requirements:

• 3–7+ years of professional anchoring experience in a reputed news channel (TV or digital).
• Strong command over Hindi and/or English (depending on edition).
• Excellent voice modulation, on-screen confidence, and clear diction.
• Ability to handle high-pressure live news situations.
• Strong knowledge of national politics, current affairs, crime, business & regional issues.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to conduct sharp, balanced interviews.
• Familiarity with newsroom software (NRCS), teleprompter, and live studio operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, or Media Studies.
• Experience in prime-time anchoring or debate shows is a significant advantage.
• Strong digital presence or experience in digital live streaming (YouTube/Facebook Live)
