Description
As a New Product Development Manager at GRASS, you will play a vital role in driving product innovation, managing end-to-end development, and establishing a sustainable product launch pipeline. Your responsibilities will include: - Market Research & Ideation: - Identify emerging skincare trends, consumer needs, and market gaps. - Develop concepts for innovative and high-performing products aligned with the brand's vision. - Product Development: - Collaborate with third-party manufacturers, formulators, and labs to create effective and safe formulations. - Review formulations, conduct trials, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. - Manage product testing, stability studies, and efficacy validation. - Vendor & Packaging Management: - Source, evaluate, and negotiate with packaging vendors for innovative, premium, and sustainable solutions. - Ensure packaging aligns with brand identity, cost efficiency, and quality standards. - Project Management: - Build and maintain a regular product launch pipeline (quarterly/bi-annual). - Track timelines, budgets, and deliverables from concept to final launch. - Coordinate across R&D, marketing, design, and supply chain teams for seamless execution. - Compliance & Documentation: - Oversee regulatory documentation, ingredient disclosures, and safety certifications. - Ensure products meet all legal and quality standards. - Innovation & Benchmarking: - Continuously benchmark global beauty brands for innovation. - Recommend new formats, ingredients, and technologies for differentiation. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related field. - 3-6 years of experience in skincare/cosmetics product development (preferably with D2C or FMCG brands). - Strong understanding of skincare formulations, ingredients, and packaging. - Experience in managing third-party manufacturers and vendors. - Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple launches simultaneously. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. - Passionate about skincare innovation and consumer-first thinking.,
