Position Overview

The New Business Development & Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding the customer base, driving sales growth, and building strong client relationships. This role requires a proactive, target-driven individual who can generate leads, pitch company products/services, and close deals effectively. The ideal candidate should have strong communication, negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

Identify potential customers, business opportunities, and new market segments.

Generate leads through cold calling, networking, industry events, and digital platforms.

Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.

Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competition, and industry trends.

Sales & Client Acquisition

Present, promote, and sell products/services to prospective customers.

Conduct meetings, product demos, site visits, and client presentations.

Develop tailored proposals, quotations, and sales pitches.

Follow up regularly with prospects to close sales.

Account Management & Relationship Building

Build strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.

Understand client requirements and ensure timely service delivery.

Handle customer queries, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction.

Upsell or cross-sell additional products/services when possible.

Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with internal teams (operations, marketing, logistics, accounts) for seamless order processing.

Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, conversions, and sales data in CRM/sales tools.

Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and performance updates.

Provide feedback to management on market demand, product improvements, and customer expectations.

Sales Target Achievement

Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Drive revenue growth through strategic planning and timely execution.

Participate in promotional activities, exhibitions, and business events to enhance visibility.

Skills & Qualifications

1–4 years of experience in business development, B2B/B2C sales, or field sales (preferred).

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to build and maintain professional client relationships.

Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.

Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and basic reporting.

Understanding of market trends, customer behaviour, and sales strategies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or any relevant field.

Additional certifications in sales or business development will be an added advantage.
