Role Overview

Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve network hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Identify faults, repair or replace faulty components, and restore full network functionality.
Handle replacement of defective parts through genuine RMA(Return Merchandise Authorization) processes.
Provide
24/7 support
and on-site assistance as required.
Perform configuration changes, network optimizations, and upgrades in line with business requirements.
Manage network security by applying vulnerability patches and enforcing security policies.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
Conduct
quarterly health checks
of all network devices and provide recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelors degree.
Proven experience as a
Network Engineer
or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points) and network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs, etc.).
Hands-on experience with Cisco or similar enterprise-grade networking equipment.
Familiarity with IT security principles and patch management.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a 24/7 support environment with on-call rotation.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Relevant CCNA certifications preferred
