Network Security Engineer

The Network Security role is to lead network security project implementation and optimize the security postures for NPCI product. This role will be responsible for implementation of the network security products, protocols and standards for NPCI and improve the existing policies and architecture design.

Roles & Responsibility:

• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Network Architecture and Design concepts.
• Experienced in web/mobile/API/Cloud Security architecture, design, and implementation.
• Proven ability to lead team and work with vendors on multiple network security products and provide optimum solution to optimize the design.
• Strong capability to identify and optimize gaps in existing enterprise infra and plan to rectify those findings
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of project from RFP phase to product handover to Run team
• Strong knowledge of information security, client/server architectures, Windows / Linux and networking protocols, IOC's
• Make decisions on upkeep of security posture of organization
• Ideate on emerging trends of cyber-threat and align organizational strategy to address them
• Provide solutions to address existing challenges with security architecture.
• SME level expertise in products like NIPS, FIREWALL, WAF, PROXY, NBAD
• Deep understanding for the NGINX Web application Firewall and API security.
• Strong knowledge of current and evolving cyber threat landscape.
• Experience interpreting, searching, and manipulating data within enterprise logging solutions.
• Experience working with network, host, and user activity data, and identifying anomalies.
• Experience in building Play books for events generated and provide responses.
• Strong Knowledge of key security standards like, CIS, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS etc

Functional Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Network Architecture and Design concepts.
• SME level expertise in products like NIPS, FIREWALL, WAF, PROXY, NBAD
• Hands -on Experienced in web/mobile/API/Cloud Security architecture, design and implementation.
• Proven ability to lead team and work with vendors on multiple network security products and provide optimum solution to optimize the design.
• Strong capability to identify and optimize gaps in existing enterprise infra and plan to rectify those findings
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of project from RFP phase to product handover to Run team
• Strong knowledge of information security, client/server architectures, Windows / Linux and networking protocols, IOC's.
• Understanding of Network automation and hands on experience on writing playbooks in Ansible, Python scripts etc.
• Strong knowledge of current and evolving cyber threat landscape.
• Experience interpreting, searching, and manipulating data within enterprise logging solutions.
• Experience working with network, host, and user activity data, and identifying anomalies.
• Experience in building Play books for events generated and provide responses
• Strong Knowledge in analyzing Packet captures.

Experience:

Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in Application development and Information security with at least 5 years in Application security, Network security and architecture.
