Network Infrastructure Engineer

.This role offers a high-impact opportunity to manage and optimize large-scale network infrastructures that support mission-critical services across multiple domains. You will be responsible for maintaining cloud and on-premises network environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. The position involves troubleshooting complex network issues, engaging with internal teams and external vendors, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also participate in network upgrades, capacity planning, and automation projects, gaining exposure to multi-vendor, hyperscale environments. Accountabilities
- Provide 24/7 support through global shift rotations, resolving network incidents and updating stakeholders on progress
- Monitor, operate, and maintain large-scale IP networks, including cloud and on-premises infrastructures
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, leveraging expertise in L3 underlay networks, protocols, and multi-vendor equipment
- Manage and optimize Peering and Datacenter interconnect technologies, including PNI, Transit, Exchange, Passive DWDM, and Wave circuits
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to remediate hardware and software issues
- Contribute to network automation and tooling projects for provisioning, monitoring, and managing infrastructure
- Develop workflow enhancements, document best practices, and drive operational improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in network operations, with strong incident management and SLA adherence
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IS-IS, VxLAN, EVPN, QoS, GRE, IPsec, DNS, and MACsec
- Hands-on experience with CSP environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI
- Familiarity with networking hardware and software from vendors like Arista, Fortinet, and Juniper
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Preferred / Standout Skills:
- Knowledge of Mellanox/Cumulus OS and Infiniband technology
- Unix/Linux system administration and scripting (Python/Shell)
- Experience with monitoring and management tools such as Netbox/Nautobot, Prometheus, Grafana, and Panoptes
