Job Description

L2 Level N/W Engineer with 3 to 4 years of experience
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls & load balancers)
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including firmware, service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Monitor system resource utilization, latency, bandwidth, availability, system resource trending, and other major metrics of network performance.
Provide support for network connectivity issues and troubleshoot to resolution.
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Liaise with other IT personnel and third-party vendors to resolve major outages and connectivity issues.
Conducts network testing, supervises technology insertion, and evaluates developmental software applications.
Strong knowledge of firewalls, virtual firewalls, route configuration, VPN and private DNS.
