Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Operations (L2 Support)

• Handle escalated incidents from L1 and provide deep-dive troubleshooting for LAN/WAN/WLAN issues.
• Perform configuration changes on routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN devices.
• Resolve network outages and performance degradation within SLA.

2. Network Configuration & Implementation

• Configure VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), access control lists (ACL), QoS, NAT, and VPN.
• Support new branch deployments, DR migrations, and network expansion projects.
• Perform firmware upgrades, hardware replacements, and patching activities.

3. Security & Compliance

• Work with SOC/InfoSec teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Implement policies aligned with

  RBI, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001

  requirements.
• Configure firewall rules, IPS/IDS policies, and traffic segmentation.
• Ensure network logs and configurations are compliant with audit standards.

4. Monitoring & Documentation

• Monitor network through tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, or Nagios.
• Network Devices like Fortigate,Sophos,Cisco,HPAruba
• Analyze logs and generate reports for capacity, uptime, and incident trends.
• Maintain accurate documentation: network diagrams, change logs, SOPs, IP inventory.

5. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with ISPs, OEMs, and service providers for escalations and RFO/RCA reports.
• Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB).
• Assist L1 team with guidance and knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years

  of hands-on experience in network support operations (L2).
• Strong knowledge of:
• Routing & Switching (STP, OSPF, BGP)
• Firewalls – Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto (any one mandatory)
• VPN (IPSec, SSL), NAT, ACL, DHCP, DNS
• High Availability (HSRP/VRRP)
• Experience in financial or regulated environments is an added advantage.
• Certifications preferred:

  CCNA (mandatory), CCNP (preferred)

• Understanding of SD-WAN technologies (Cisco, Fortinet, Citrix – advantage).

• Strong problem-solving and analytical approach.
• Ability to work in high-pressure, 247 regulated environments.
• Good communication skills and incident reporting capabilities.
