The National Sales Head – Government Sales will be responsible for driving and managing all aspects of sales across government sectors at a national level. The role involves formulating sales strategies, building strong relationships with key government stakeholders, driving business growth, and ensuring revenue and profitability targets are consistently achieved.
· Lead the Government Sales function at a national level, ensuring achievement of business objectives and revenue targets.
· Develop and execute long-term strategies for government and institutional business development.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with senior officials, decision-makers, and government agencies.
· Identify new business opportunities, tenders, and projects within the government sector.
· Oversee bid management, tendering process, and negotiation with government authorities.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations, product) to ensure compliance and smooth execution of government contracts.
· Monitor market trends, competition, and policy changes impacting government sales.
· Drive, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team across regions.
· Ensure adherence to statutory, compliance, and regulatory requirements in government business dealings.
· Strong knowledge of government procurement processes, policies, and tendering procedures.
· Proven experience in closing large-scale government projects and institutional deals.
· Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
· Strategic thinker with excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
· Strong financial and commercial acumen.
· Ability to navigate complex decision-making structures in the government ecosystem.
