Job Description

Key Responsibilities Curriculum Planning & Delivery Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Mathematics and Physics aligned with IB MYP objectives. Integrate Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills and Global Contexts into lesson planning and instruction. Design and assess MYP units using backward design and in accordance with the IB MYP framework. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning styles. Assessment & Reporting Develop formative and summative assessments consistent with IB criteria. Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback. Participate in IB-required moderation and standardization processes. Write detailed and personalized student progress reports and participate in parent-teacher meetings. Classroom Culture & Student Engagement Foster an inquiry-driven, student-centered classroom environment that promotes curiosity and critical thinking. Guide students in interdisciplinary learning and project-based inquiry. Encourage students to make real-world connections through service learning and ethical reflection. Professional Collaboration Work closely with the MYP Coordinator and other subject teachers to ensure horizontal and vertical curriculum alignment. Participate in school events, workshops, and collaborative planning sessions. Contribute to internal and external IB evaluation processes and documentation. Professional Development & IB Practices Actively engage in ongoing IB-recognized professional development . Stay updated with the latest IB publications and curriculum changes. Promote the IB Learner Profile attributes in all aspects of school life. Requirements & Qualifications Education & Certification Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline . Professional teaching certification preferred. IB-recognized MYP Category 1 or 2 training in Math and/or Sciences is an advantage. Experience Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in an IB MYP school . Experience in teaching both Math and Physics in a middle school setting. Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used in IB classrooms (ManageBac, Google Classroom, etc.). Familiarity with digital tools and calculator Skills & Attributes Deep understanding of the IB philosophy, learner profile, and assessment standards .
