We are seeking an accomplished and hands-on Motion & Post-Production Lead to shape and elevate the craft of motion design, CGI, and post-production within one of the world’s most advanced global creative production hubs.
This role combines creative craftsmanship with technical leadership, ensuring high-end delivery across motion graphics, special effects (SFX), visual effects (VFX), CGI, compositing, animation, color grading, and finishing.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of artists, animators, and editors who bring static campaigns to life — turning creative ideas into cinematic brand experiences for global clients across retail, digital, and life sciences.
key roles and responsibilities
1. Motion & Post-Production Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end motion and post-production pipeline, from storyboard to final delivery.
- Drive excellence across 2D/3D animation, compositing, tracking, rotoscoping, color grading, and finishing.
- Collaborate closely with creative directors, producers, and account teams to interpret briefs into motion-first executions.
- Ensure the highest visual fidelity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines across deliverables.
2. Creative & Technical Execution
- Be hands-on in motion graphics, VFX, CGI, and color workflows using industry-standard tools (After Effects, Nuke, Cinema4D, Maya, Houdini, Blender, DaVinci Resolve, Flame).
- Direct and review the work of designers, compositors, and editors to maintain the studio’s creative benchmark.
- Introduce new motion design techniques, animation trends, and post-production workflows to enhance storytelling.
- Supervise pack-shot adaptation, beauty retouching, and complex compositing across global campaigns.
3. Workflow, Process & Quality Governance
- Establish best practices and workflow templates for motion and post projects across short-form, digital, and broadcast media.
- Define rendering, file-management, and QC standards to ensure delivery consistency.
- Partner with automation and technology teams to identify automation or AI-assisted opportunities (e.g., frame clean-up, keying, upscaling, or versioning).
- Manage studio capacity, scheduling, and quality control for multiple simultaneous projects.
4. Team Development & Capability Growth
- Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of motion designers, compositors, colorists, and editors.
- Drive internal training on new software, motion trends, and cinematic design principles.
- Build a strong creative feedback culture — balancing mentorship with performance accountability.
- Partner with recruitment to onboard top creative and technical talent in the motion and post-production space.
5. Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with regional teams (AMS, EMEA, APAC) to align motion output with campaign needs and market nuances.
- Collaborate with the Digital, Print, and Automation teams to ensure seamless integration of motion assets in multi-channel campaigns.
- Engage in new business pitches and creative development discussions, providing technical insight and creative elevation.
GREAT TO HAVE:
- 12–18 years of experience in motion graphics, post-production, VFX, and CGI, preferably within large advertising, film, or creative-production environments.
- Deep hands-on proficiency in:
- Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Cinema4D, Maya, Houdini, Blender
- Nuke, Fusion, or Flame for compositing
- DaVinci Resolve for color grading and finishing
- Strong understanding of animation principles, visual storytelling, lighting, camera, and timing.
- Proven experience leading teams delivering broadcast, digital, and short-form video content at scale.
- Strong eye for composition, detail, and brand expression through motion.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for video enhancement, rotoscoping, and content generation (e.g., Runway, Sora, Pika, Topaz, Kaiber, etc.).
- Experience collaborating with sound, music, and VO production to complete audiovisual packages.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in studio setup, pipeline design, and workflow automation for motion/VFX.
- Exposure to AR/VR, 3D visualization, or immersive content creation.
- Knowledge of scripting or plug-in integration for efficiency (Python, JavaScript for After Effects, or Houdini scripts).
- Experience in color management workflows (ACES, HDR, LUTs).
- Prior leadership in a creative production, post house, or integrated agency environment.
