Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Duties 1. Conceptualization Develop innovative and user-centric designs for modular furniture collections. Assist and guide the sales team in improving client conversions and upselling opportunities. 2. Market Analysis Keep abreast of market trends, materials, and innovations in modular design. Conduct competitor benchmarking to identify market gaps and differentiation opportunities. 3. Drawing Generation Create detailed design sketches, CAD drawings, and 3D digital renderings. Prepare production-ready technical drawings for precise and efficient manufacturing. 4. Production Collaboration Collaborate with engineers, craftsmen, and manufacturing units to bring designs to life. Address technical challenges, communicate specifications clearly, and ensure feasibility of execution. 5. Modular Execution Management Manage end-to-end modular furniture project execution, ensuring design integrity and quality. Support material selection and design detailing to balance aesthetics, durability, and functionality. 6. Material & Hardware Knowledge Possess in-depth knowledge of all relevant tools, hardware, laminates, finishes, and fitting systems used in modular furniture. Stay updated with suppliers and new material introductions in the market. Academic Qualifications Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Industrial Design, or a related discipline from a recognized institute. Software & Technical Skills Mandatory: Proficiency in Infurnia design software. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other rendering or CAD tools is a plus. Work Experience & Core Skills Experience: Minimum 5 years in modular furniture design or a similar role in the furniture/interiors industry. Core Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Sound understanding of furniture production, materials, hardware, and vendor coordination. Ability to multitask and meet tight project deadlines.
