Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    To supervise and coordinate day-to-day mining operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant extraction of limestone for cement production.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    - Supervise drilling, blasting, excavation, and transportation activities in the mine. - Ensure compliance with DGMS (Directorate General of Mines Safety) regulations and statutory requirements. - Monitor production targets and optimize resource utilization. - Maintain safety standards and conduct toolbox talks for the team. - Inspect mining equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance. - Prepare shift reports and maintain records of production and manpower. - Assist in implementing environmental and sustainability measures in mining operations.

Technical Competencies


    Blasting Techniques: Understanding of explosives handling and blasting schedules,Equipment Handling: Familiarity with heavy earth-moving machinery (excavators, dumpers, loaders).,Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of DGMS guidelines, Mines Act, and environmental norms

Qualifications and Experience


    - Education: Diploma in Mining Engineering with Foreman’s Certificate of Competency (DGMS). - Experience: 5–8 years in limestone mining operations, preferably in cement industry.
