Job Description

Job Title: Middleware and API Developer Location: Chennai, India Job Type: Full-Time Experience Level: [Specify: Mid-Level / Senior-Level] Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Middleware and API Developer to join our technology team in Chennai . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs , iPaaS platforms , SOAP web services , and data transformation tools like XSLT , Data Mapper , and Expression Language . This role involves designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions that enable seamless communication across internal and external systems. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and manage integration solutions using iPaaS platforms. Build and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based APIs for enterprise applications. Implement data transformation and routing using XSLT , Data Mapper , and Expression Language . Integrate third-party systems, cloud services, and legacy applications through middleware solutions. Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and development teams to understand integration requirements. Optimize API and middleware performance and ensure high availability and security. Prepare and maintain technical documentation and integration specifications. Provide support for production incidents and implement necessary fixes and improvements. Required Skills: Strong experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP web services . Hands-on experience with iPaaS platforms (e.g., Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, SnapLogic, Workato, Jitterbit, etc.). Proficiency in XSLT for XML transformations and Data Mapper tools. Familiarity with Expression Language used in integration platforms. Experience with API design, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and security best practices. Understanding of enterprise integration patterns (EIP). Working knowledge of message queuing systems (e.g., JMS, RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Exposure to microservices architecture and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices. Experience in performance tuning and monitoring of integrations. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6–8 years of relevant experience in middleware and API development. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
