Microsoft Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Microsoft Product Specialist to lead the adoption, optimization, and governance of Microsoft 365, Azure, and related cloud platforms at the institute. This role will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Microsoft technologies, driving digital transformation, enabling users with enterprise-grade solutions, and ensuring robust governance, security, and compliance across systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary SME for Microsoft 365 and Azure, guiding integration, adoption, and optimization.
• Configure, administer, and manage services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Oversee Azure and AWS environments: provisioning, monitoring, performance optimization, cost management, and security.
• Manage Active Directory, Exchange (on-premises and hybrid), and SharePoint administration.
• Support Level 2 networking operations, including VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and hybrid integrations.
• Draft, implement, and monitor IT policies, governance frameworks, and compliance documentation for Microsoft 365 and cloud usage.
• Lead projects related to intranet portals, collaboration platforms, employee dashboards, and workflow automation using the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
• Provide Education ERP support and assist in business process mapping and automation.
• Deliver Tier-3 technical support for complex issues, including system integrations with third-party applications and on-premises environments.
• Train and mentor IT staff and end-users on advanced Microsoft solutions, Power Platform, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with vendors, Microsoft support, and internal stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
• Contribute to the institution’s IT roadmap by recommending emerging Microsoft and multi-cloud solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Qualification

• sBachelor’s/master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• .5–7 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in Microsoft 365 and Azure administration
• .Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, MS-700, MS-100/101, SC-300, AZ-104) preferred; AWS certification is an advantage
• .Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud deployments (Azure + AWS) and networking fundamentals (switching, routing, VPNs, firewalls)
• .Demonstrated experience in drafting and implementing IT policies and governance frameworks
• .Hands-on experience with Power Platform and enterprise-level workflow automation
• .Strong documentation, analytical, and project management skills
