Metallurgical Engineer

Analyze and improve metallurgical processes related to copper and copper alloys (extrusion, drawing, annealing, etc.) Review and validate mill test certificates (MTCs), chemical composition, and mechanical properties of incoming and outgoing materials. Coordinate metallurgical testing, failure analysis, and microstructural evaluations. Support R&D and process engineering teams in developing new alloys and improving product performance. Work closely with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to solve technical issues. Develop and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and quality reports. Monitor heat treatment processes and validate metallurgical conformity as per customer specifications (ASTM, EN, IS standards). Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product deviations. Evaluate and implement new testing techniques and technologies for improved process control. Desired Candidate Profile: Education: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Metallurgy / Metallurgical Engineering / Materials Science Experience: 2–6 years of hands-on experience in metallurgy, preferably in copper or non-ferrous metal industry Skills Required: Strong understanding of metallurgical principles, metal forming processes, and microstructural behavior Familiarity with spectrometers, hardness testers, tensile testing machines, and metallurgical microscopes Knowledge of international standards (ASTM, DIN, IS, etc.) Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability Proficiency in preparing technical reports and root cause analysis (RCA, 8D, etc.) Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams What We Offer: Opportunity to work with a technically strong and growth-oriented team Exposure to advanced metallurgical and manufacturing technologies Professional growth through challenging assignments and learning environment Competitive compensation and benefits Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹12,270.72 - ₹44,601.85 per month Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Work Location: In person
