Job Title: MERN Stack Developer (Node.js + MySQL)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced MERN Stack Developer with a strong foundation in Node.js and MySQL to join our dynamic tech team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend APIs, integrating complex databases, and collaborating with the frontend team to deliver high-quality web applications.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
Design and optimize relational database schemas using MySQL.
Integrate MySQL with Node.js for efficient data retrieval and updates.
Work with React.js for front-end integrations and application logic.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, frontend developers, and product managers.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Implement security and data protection protocols.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers as needed.
Must-Have Skills
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development.
Strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js, and JavaScript.
In-depth knowledge of MySQL (query optimization, indexing, joins, stored procedures).
Solid understanding of React.js and state management libraries like Redux or Context API.
Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
Good to Have
Experience with MongoDB or NoSQL databases.
Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
Understanding of performance tuning and caching mechanisms.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
