Merchandiser (Jewellery)

As a dynamic and experienced merchandiser, you will be responsible for developing and executing product strategies for jewellery collections in alignment with market trends, consumer preferences, and brand positioning. Your role will involve optimizing product assortment, pricing, and stock levels to maximize sales and profitability. Staying updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer demand will be essential to drive innovative and market-relevant collections. Collaboration with suppliers is crucial to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of jewellery pieces. You will also lead and mentor a team of merchandisers, designers, and sourcing specialists to enhance productivity and creativity. Monitoring sales data, identifying high-performing products, and implementing strategies to enhance category performance will be part of your responsibilities. Working closely with marketing, design, and retail teams is necessary to ensure successful product launches and promotional campaigns. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in jewellery merchandising, preferably in lab-grown diamonds or fine jewellery. Strong leadership skills, jewellery and market knowledge, analytical abilities, negotiation skills, and excellent communication skills are required for this role. Proficiency in sales forecasting, data analysis, inventory planning, negotiation, and vendor management is essential. Additionally, familiarity with ERP systems, merchandising software, and MS Excel for data-driven decision-making is preferred.
