Merchandiser for Textile Showroom

Job Purpose:
To plan, coordinate, and implement effective merchandising strategies that ensure maximum product visibility, appealing display, and optimal inventory levels, thereby driving higher footfall, conversion, and sales for the textile showroom.Key Responsibilities:1. Merchandising & DisplayEnsure attractive product presentation and proper placement as per store planogram.Regularly refresh displays based on new arrivals, seasonality, and sales trends.Create themed displays during festivals and promotions (e.g., Diwali, Pongal, Aadi Sale).Maintain visual standards for mannequins, shelves, and window displays.2. Inventory & Stock ManagementCoordinate with store manager and warehouse for timely stock replenishment.Track fast-moving and slow-moving items; suggest reorders or markdowns.Conduct periodic stock audits and report discrepancies.3. Sales SupportWork closely with sales team to identify customer preferences and product demand.Share product knowledge with staff to help them upsell/cross-sell effectively.Ensure price tags, offers, and signage are updated and accurate.4. Vendor & Purchase CoordinationLiaise with suppliers for new collections and stock requirements.Assist purchase team with feedback on best-selling SKUs and styles.5. Data & ReportingPrepare weekly and monthly merchandising performance reports.Analyze sales data to identify trends and recommend display changes.6. Promotions & EventsPlan and execute in-store promotional activities with marketing team.Support in setting up stalls, fashion shows, or local events when required.
