Merchandise Manager

As a Merchandising Manager in the Sportswear and Athletics Division for the e-commerce operations of a leading global footwear brand, your role will be crucial in supporting the implementation of merchandising strategies and managing key stakeholders to achieve topline and bottomline targets. **Key Responsibilities:** - Help develop merchandise strategy for all e-commerce channels, aligned with brand positioning and sales targets. - Optimise assortment strategy in collaboration with design and sourcing teams. - Analyse product performance and consumer trends to make informed buying and replenishment decisions. - Build and maintain strong relationships with partner brand and key stakeholders like design, sourcing, and pricing teams. - Coordinate with the brand partner on pricing and discounts, finalizing differential discount plans for regular vs. event promotions. - Collaborate with marketplaces to ensure visibility and conversion through marketing campaigns and strategic discussions. - Manage the merchandising calendar to align content with marketing campaigns and product launches. - Optimize marketplace site merchandising by developing product catalogues, imagery, and categorization. - Work closely with operations and finance teams to ensure revenue integrity and reconciliation. - Track key performance metrics and competition performance, making timely interventions and developing MIS reports for management. **Qualifications and Experience:** - Graduates/ Postgraduates from NIFT/ premier fashion institutes or Tier 1 B-schools. - 5 to 8 years of experience in e-commerce fashion merchandising, preferably in the footwear category. - Proficiency in inventory planning, pricing strategy, and managing large assortments. - Proven expertise in vendor/ brand management and knowledge of marketplace operations. - Strong understanding of fashion and consumer behavior across different price points. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. As the Merchandising Manager, you will be based in Bangalore with occasional travel requirements. You will report to the Head of Merchandising, and the compensation offered is competitive and commensurate with your experience.
