Job Title: Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

Location: BKC/ Jio World Centre Project

Role Summary:

The Mechanical Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all cost and contract-related activities for mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems. The role ensures accurate estimation, effective cost control, and smooth coordination between engineering, procurement, and site teams to deliver projects within budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping).

·        Review mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate quantity take-offs.

·        Evaluate subcontractor quotations and assist in procurement and bid analysis.

·        Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cost forecasts; identify and report variances.

·        Conduct site measurements, verify completed quantities, and certify subcontractor bills.

·        Manage variations, change orders, and claims in coordination with contracts and project teams.

·        Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow statements, and progress valuations.

·        Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and contractual terms.

·        Liaise with project engineers, planners, and commercial teams for accurate cost reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:

·        Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or quantity surveying.

·        4 - 6 years of experience in MEP or mechanical quantity surveying (preferably with large-scale construction projects).

·        Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and related materials.

·        Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD.

·        Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.

·        High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
