The Role

The Design Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and optimizing components for agricultural implements. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure products meet stringent performance, reliability, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development:
• Conceptualize and create 3D models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings for new and existing agricultural machinery components.
• Perform necessary engineering calculations (stress analysis, load bearing, material selection) to ensure design feasibility and performance.
• Integrate designs with manufacturing processes, ensuring components are optimized for production efficiency (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly - DFM/A).
• Software Proficiency:
• Expert use of CAD software ( e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) for modeling and drafting.
• Prototyping & Testing:
• Support the prototype build and testing phase, analyzing results, and implementing design modifications based on field performance data.
• Collaboration & Compliance:
• Work closely with Production, Quality Control, and Sales teams to ensure designs meet customer and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications & Attributes

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, preferably within the heavy equipment, automotive, or agricultural machinery sectors.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Technical Skills: Proven ability to create production-ready drawings with correct GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
