Mechanical Design Engineer

Senor Metals is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer 3D Modelling to be part of our Design & R&D team. The engineer will independently handle 3D modelling, detailing, and design support using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD for industrial furnaces, electrical panels, enclosures, and sheet metal assemblies used in capital equipment manufacturing.

Role & responsibilities

• Independently develop

  3D models, assemblies, and sub-assemblies

  using

  Autodesk Inventor

  .
• Prepare

  manufacturing-ready 3D models

  with accurate dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Create and review

  2D drawings in AutoCAD

  derived from 3D models.
• Design and detail

  sheet metal components

  including bends, flat patterns, and fabrication details.
• Prepare

  GA drawings, assembly layouts, and installation layouts

  .
• Coordinate with

  Electrical, Production, Quality, and Projects teams

  for design validation and execution.
• Incorporate

  DFM/DFA practices

  to ensure ease of manufacturing and assembly.
• Support

  prototype development, design reviews, and design improvements

  .
• Maintain

  BOMs, revision control, and design documentation

  as per company standards.
• Ensure adherence to

  safety, quality, and engineering standards

  applicable to furnace and panel manufacturing.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong hands-on experience in Autodesk Inventor for 3D modelling (mandatory)

  .

• Working experience in AutoCAD for 2D detailing (mandatory)

  .
• Good understanding of

  sheet metal design, fabrication, and welding processes

  .
• Ability to interpret

  mechanical, electrical, and GA drawings

  .
• Experience in

  capital equipment, furnace systems, or electrical panel design

  is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of assigned designs.
• Effective coordination and documentation skills.
