Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Skills:

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complex mechanical parts such as enclosures, housings, and brackets
• Create 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Work on:
• Sheet metal fabrication
• Plastic injection molding
• Aluminum / Zamak high-pressure die casting
• Perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and dimensional validation
• Conduct DFA / DFM reviews to optimize designs for high-volume manufacturing
• Collaborate with electronics, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams
• Support prototype development, testing, and design iterations
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
• Support vendor coordination, tooling development, and supplier technical reviews
• Analyze field or test failures and implement corrective design improvements
• Ensure compliance with material specifications, thermal requirements, and regulatory standards

Skills Required:

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience in Sheet Metal Design
• Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Hands-on experience with PLM tools
• Knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding processes
• Experience with Aluminum / Zamak high-pressure die casting

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks

Additional Competencies

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Experience in electronics or telecom hardware design is a plus

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
• Master's degree preferred
