These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial (BCA) business organization . A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Maintenance Engineering Team to implement the Maintenance Tool design solutions. Position Responsibilities : The successful candidate will perform the following duties: Execute Mechanical design and analysis of a wide range of mechanical structures, Ground handling Equipment, systems and other aircraft /Aerospace components. Investigate design-engineering changes to maintain engineering configuration and initiates action. Applies knowledge of engineering and scientific methods and tools to define and characterize behavior of products, services, and processes. Integrates technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the product definition to comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements; documents result in data sets, reports, specifications, and drawing construction implementing ASME Y14.5 standards. Participates with other members on project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): A Bachelors degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering. Experience in aircraft systems or structures design, development and production. Experience in performing Conceptual Tool Designs. Experience in aerospace material selection, Drawing creation/MBD creation, processes (finishing and heat treatment) specification. Familiar with the aerospace industry, military and government specifications, handbooks and standards.
