About The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Content Writer with an MA/MPhil/PhD to create rigorous, pedagogically sound math content for online courses and assessment platforms. This role is ideal for candidates who can translate deep mathematical knowledge into clear learning sequences, high-quality problem sets, and concise explanatory solutions that drive measurable student outcomes.
Role & Responsibilities
- Author and curate curriculum-aligned mathematics content: lesson notes, worked examples, practice problems, and assessments across targeted grade levels (K-12/UG/PG as assigned).
- Write clear, step-by-step solutions and model answers that emphasize conceptual understanding, common misconceptions, and multiple solution strategies.
- Design and review assessment items (MCQs, short answer, long-form problems) with rubrics and difficulty tagging for adaptive platforms.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and product teams to structure course flows, learning objectives, and formative checks that map to learning outcomes.
- Perform rigorous content QA: proofread for mathematical accuracy, align notation and terminology, and validate worked solutions under time and formatting constraints.
- Maintain versioned content in CMS/authoring tools; respond to data-driven feedback to iterate on content and improve learner performance metrics.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MA, MPhil, or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related discipline with demonstrable subject expertise.
- 3+ years creating mathematics content, problem-sets, instructional material, or teaching at school/college/university level.
- Proven ability to write clear, pedagogical explanations and to break down complex topics into learner-friendly steps.
- Experience designing assessments with correct answer keys, marking schemes, and difficulty-level calibration.
- Proficiency with content authoring tools (Google Docs/MS Office) and familiarity with LaTeX or Markdown for technical formatting.
- Strong written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote team.
Preferred
- Experience with EdTech platforms, LMS, or CMS workflows and basic familiarity with analytics-driven content iteration.
- Prior work on competitive/exam-preparation material (board exams, entrance tests, or university-level assessments).
- Teaching or tutoring experience and a portfolio of authored lessons, question banks, or published academic material.
